Janna and I begin our day with tea. We spent years drinking cold tea at the shop, as business comes first. This morning a phone call came as I was sitting down with my morning cup, but it made for a sweet morning. This caller was searching for limited edition scissors that we had on the site, Gingher's Evelyn embroidery scissors. This was her name, her mother's name, and she was looking for three pair to give to the women in the next generation. My mother was Evalyn, after her grandmother. I would have named a daughter Evalyn, Evvie for short, if I had the opportunity. So after a little sniffle, I packed the box, tucking in three scissor fobs that were made to hang from those handles. Business can be sweet, and tea can be warmed. On to the rest of the day.
