My husband and I logged 1,692 miles over four days, Fresno to Reno to Twin Falls to Reno to Fresno. I loved needing to wear my hand knitted hats, boot cuffs, and fingerless gloves, even if it was not all that cold. Colder than home is all that counts if I can look cute wearing them. Projects were taken along in a tote bag of optimism, and for a change one of the projects was worked on, while watching my nephew play pick-up soccer. Fingerless gloves and embroidery go well together.
Speaking of little knitting projects, I just added a tote filled with Zara and Rialto in a few weights to the list of $5.00 Deals. Some other yarns were added yesterday. Search the site for $5.00 Deals or 5.00 Grab Bag yarns. One skein of Zara is enough for the fingerless gloves, 200 yards in aran weight is all you need for our beret pattern. I am happy to pop a free pattern in with your order.
Back to the road trip, my husband drove the final leg of the trip, and offered to drive around the block until we hit 1,700 miles. I threatened to jump out while the car was running, projects and all. We agreed to just pull into the driveway.
